　　Definition: doing sth that is very dull or boring. 做特别无聊的事。

　　Rachel fell asleep during the big game because she thinks that watching sports is like watching the paint dry.

　　Rachel看那场比赛睡着了，因为她觉得看比赛无聊爆了。

　　我们来看一下这句表达的字面：

　　Watching the paint dry

　　其中watching是“观看”，paint在这里是名词“油漆”，dry是动词“变干”。看着油漆（慢慢地）干。

　　画面感一下子有了：

　　真的挺无聊的......
